Bringing home an English Bulldog starts with a conversation. Here are answers to common questions about our puppies, placement process, and support at Beefy Blissful Bulldogs in Dayton, Ohio.
How do I apply for a puppy?
Start by completing our Puppy Application. Once we receive it, we’ll review your information and reach out to continue the conversation.
What happens after I apply?
We take time to get to know each applicant so we can make the best possible match, and Beefy Blissful Bulldogs reserves the right to decline a placement when we do not believe it is the right fit. Applying does not guarantee approval or reserve a puppy.
How can I check puppy availability?
Visit our Puppies page for current availability, or contact us if you’d like to ask about future litters.
Do you have a waitlist?
Approved families may join our waitlist for upcoming puppy availability. Availability and timing are not guaranteed.
When is a deposit required?
Deposits may be accepted once a family and puppy have been matched. Specific deposit terms are provided before any payment is made. Any applicable deposit amount, timing, and refund or transfer conditions should be reviewed in writing before payment.
How do I find out a puppy’s price?
Puppy pricing varies by individual puppy and litter. Current pricing is discussed directly with approved families.
Are your puppies AKC registered?
We offer AKC-registered English Bulldog puppies, with registration status clearly disclosed for each litter.
How will I know the registration terms for my puppy?
Confirm the individual puppy’s registration status and applicable paperwork with us before committing. Registration and any related restrictions are disclosed for the puppy you are considering.
Do puppies come with breeding rights?
Breeding rights are not included with every puppy and are only considered in select situations. Any applicable rights or restrictions must be discussed and documented for the individual puppy before purchase.
Where and how are your puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised inside our home, surrounded by everyday family life, attention, and socialization — not in cages. Our puppies spend supervised time around our adult dogs as part of their early socialization. You can learn about our approach and meet our dogs on the website.
When can my puppy go home?
Puppies stay with us until they are at least 8 weeks old so they have time to grow, socialize, and prepare for their new homes. We discuss the individual puppy’s readiness and confirm a suitable go-home date with you.
Can I visit in person?
Families are encouraged to visit in person when possible, and video calls are available for those who live farther away. Please arrange your visit first.
Can we have a video call?
Yes. Video calls are available, including for families who live farther away. They are a chance to meet us, see the puppy, and ask questions.
Can I pick up my puppy?
Yes. Pickup is encouraged when possible so families can meet us in person and take their puppy home directly.
Can you arrange ground transportation?
We encourage pickup when possible so families can meet us in person. Ground or air transportation can also be arranged when travel isn’t practical. Availability, route, cost, and handoff details must be confirmed before you make travel plans; ask us about your situation.
Is there a written health guarantee?
A written Health Guarantee is provided with each puppy. Read our Health Guarantee page and written guarantee before making a commitment. The written document explains coverage, exclusions, buyer responsibilities, and deadlines.
Will my puppy be microchipped?
Puppies go home microchipped, with vaccination records and a veterinary health check. At handoff, ask us to walk through the microchip information and how to keep your contact details current.
Will I receive vaccination records?
Yes. Vaccination records are provided. Share them with your veterinarian so your puppy’s ongoing care can be planned.
Will my puppy have a veterinary health check?
Each puppy receives a veterinary health check before leaving for their new home. Review the records and the written guarantee’s requirements for your own veterinarian’s examination after pickup or delivery.
Can I contact you after my puppy comes home?
Continued breeder support is available after your puppy goes home, and families are always welcome to reach out with questions. For illness, injury, or urgent health concerns, contact your veterinarian promptly.
What if I can no longer keep my dog?
If a family can no longer keep their dog, they must contact Beefy Blissful Bulldogs before any rehoming, transfer, or surrender. Our lifetime return-to-breeder principle means we will accept the dog back if necessary. If a dog ever needs to return to us, any financial arrangement would be discussed separately and agreed to in writing.
Have a question about your situation? Contact Beefy Blissful Bulldogs. We are happy to talk through the process with you.
